| About Us Here
at Hallmark, our dogs are not only a hobby, they are a
passion! Our dogs all live in our
home and are an important part of our family. We
keep busy training in various performance venues,
including obedience, agility, and herding.
Ive had the privilege to train for a year under the
renowned
Sam Malatesta, aka The Canadian Dog Whisperer. Sam
possesses an innate ability to read and
understand dog behavior and I am grateful to have learned
so much from him! We are members
of the Lincolnwood Training Club for German Shepherd Dogs
and Windy City Agility. We take herding
lessons at Hado-Bar Farm in Nova, OH and Dogwood Farm in
Williamsport, IN and have participated
in a multitude of other events. Working with my
dogs helps them become happy,
well-rounded individuals and creates a wonderful bond
between us!

About The
Founder
Mona Persson has a life long love for dogs and
has become an integral part of the White Shepherd
community
since 2002. She holds the North Central Regional
Vice-President position with the American White Shepherd
Association and is an active member of the United White
Shepherd Club and the White Shepherd Club of Canada.
Mona has owned and trained German Shepherds in
the US and in Europe since she was in her early teens.
She is a member of the Lincolnwood Training Club for
German Shepherd Dogs, where she trained her first
German Shepherd when she was 12 yrs old and has served as
an officer of the club. She is a believer in the
"well-rounded" dog; that can perform in
multiple performance venues and still be a conformation
show winner
as well as a loving pet and companion. Mona is also
a firm believer in retaining the herding instinct
in the Shepherd, which is the task that the German
Shepherd was originally bred for.

White Shepherd Genetics is an area of interest for Mona
and she spends much time analyzing the
genetic aspect of pedigrees in an effort to match
genetically compatible dogs for breeding. She
calculates genetic trait charts and evaluates the risk of
genetic disease in her
breedings and for many others in the White Shepherd
community.
Mona volunteers for German Shepherd Rescue of
Northern Illinois and volunteers in the
community with the help of her dogs to promote
responsible dog ownership.
